I get excited with the arrival of each spring as if it were the first of my life. Maybe it’s the fact that my birthday is within the first days of it (although I’d prefer it on the last ones and skip all the rain) or if the mere season change is the one that invites me to redo, to rebirth, to recreate.
I’m still in the process of renovating this space with ideas I take from here and there. People ask me what inspires me or who I admire, but actually and honestly, I believe inspiration is to be found within the most unimportant, mundane things. In a new bottle of an April’s fragrance, the sheets of a magazine, a pretty-to-look-at coffee table book or in the simple memory of finding an old paper in a bag you haven’t worn in a long time.
Within my favorites as far as the year goes, I can highlight my lifetime reconciliation with the color yellow (here on Instagram I explain why), the L’Artisan Parfumer Numéro 9 fragrance which reminds me to the nanche trees on my grandma’s yard, the Teresa Carles cooking book which reunites more than eighty vegetarian recipes photographed by yours truly and honest reads by Apartamento magazine. Oh! And our new feline roommate, Holly.
How about you? What does spring inspire you?
