THE STATEMENT EARRING STORY
Before anything, I’d like to state something: I’ve never been the earring kind of girl. It won’t surprise you if you have followed the blog for some time; the shape of my face isn’t the friendliest to decorar its sides with shiny design pieces (just at small doses with earrings that are barely noticeable when sliding the hair to the ear). However, these past weeks, and because my birthday number twenty-eight is just around the corner, I could not stop thinking: to hell with beauty stereotypes.
It’s said that personal evolution requires a bit of spiritual rebellion, but because I’m as spiritual as Kanye West is humble, I’m gonna change it to something on which I’m better and that’s style.

Rebellion might sound a bit dramatic, probably a lot more dramatic than the final design of the earrings I decided to get -mainly from Mango– with the simple purpose of dissimulate the width of my face and bring the lighting that is missing when I have no time to do my make-up. So, don’t expect palm trees or piñatas, as much as I would love to be just a bit more adventurous, my rebellion isn’t an anarchy with myself.
Even so, this exercise is enough to push myself on this new year of my life to try out new things, in small bites or sample size format just to realise what I’ve been missing. Trying out things is free, but having the balls to actually wear them in your daily life requires an investment of rebellion against your own rules.

Loved your post and now you got me hooked on earrings lol
Great post. Rules and changes never go hand in hand. Changes are needed, however, so it was not boring. You look great in this earring. By the way I would like to be 28 years and certainly I would be more rebellious in many cases.

Me encantaron ! Y good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone and stereotypes.
It’s always a good idea to get out of the comfort zone. However, i really love to see you with bold earrings, and these ones are truly amazing.
Have a great day.
